The day of the reunion started out with a number of classmates meeting on Main Street to watch the parade. It sprinkled a little but was a very nice morning as it wasn’t hot. There were 26 classmates at the 50 year reunion. Here is our group photo with two not being pictured. Other pictures can be seen here!
We want this reunion to be an easy, fun time after 50 years of living. After 50 years, we deserve it! We’ll have a few things to participate in as well as plenty of time to remember, relax, and enjoy your classmates.
Date: Saturday, August 10th
Time: 12 noon to 3 pm
Where: Catholic Church Parish Center, 414 Locust, Halstead: park in the alley and go in the east door
Parade starts at 10am (this isn’t really part of the reunion but you are welcome to join):
So far a number of people want to watch the parade together, so we are thinking right now to be somewhere between 5th and 6th streets. Not sure what side right now.
Dress is super casual. Be comfortable! That is the main thing!

Food:
We will have D’Angelo’s pizzas (cheese, vegetable, pepperoni, beef, Italian sausage, Canadian Bacon)
We will also have a Taco Bar from Pepper’s Mexican Bar and Grill!
We will have bottled water and pop to drink. You can bring your own drinks if you like. However, remember that this is a church building so alcohol is not allowed. Thanks!
Zoom Digital Reunion:
Since a lot of people are a long ways away, we will have a computer running Zoom so people at a distance can visit with classmates. Contact David Pownell for the log in information.
Who’s invited?
Everyone associated with the class of 1974! Any classmate that has been with us through the years even if not graduating at Halstead are welcome. There were a lot of classmates that became close and made an impact with our class. Significant others, spouses, and plus-ones are all invited to attend.
It won’t be long until our 50th reunion so we’d like to start getting a head count for those who will or probably will be there. We’d also like to see if there are classmates who would want to Zoom in.

We’ve created a short survey that will let you tell us if you can attend or not or if you would like to Zoom in. There is also a place to enter a guest’s name and if you have any dietary requirements.
The survey will only take a minute but will help us greatly plan for lunch. Lunch will be funded by donations.

We would like to gather as much information and pictures as we can from classmates. What are some of your memories from school days? This website is the home page of our 50th class reunion! We have been adding pictures and information such as when and where it will be held. Check back from time-to-time to see new information. By June we’ll have information about registering for the reunion.
There is also a page where we will add information classmates send about the things they have done over their lives. To add to that, write your information and gather your pictures.
